Introduction

Traveling through time, space, and history to feel the evolution of textile industry and the charm of Taiwanese fashion.

Taking a hundred years' evolvement of Taiwan civil clothing as the main shaft, this exhibition focuses on the development of clothing technology and expects the public to review kaleidoscopic styles of clothing. Furthermore, it helps the visitors learn more about the history of Taiwan and realize what the “marketable skill” means in Taiwan.
It is the first time for National Science and Technology Museum to cooperate with Kaohsiung Second Prison, Agency of Corrections Ministry of Justice, Everest Textile, the Fashion Design Departments in Shu-te Home-economics and Commercial High School, and other institutions to promote the importance of “science of clothing.” Besides, it is expected that the effort and the achievement for the industries and schools in textile and clothing can be seen by more and more people through this exhibition.
