Theoretically, the angle with which you can shoot the ball the target farthest is 45 degrees. Actually there is some slight error (but infinitesimal) because of the air resistance. Consequently, if the falling point of the ball is too near, adjust the angle toward 45 degrees. Then the ball will go farther. Contrarily, adjust away from 45 degrees.
