Complex Telecommunications Network Infrastructure

Nowadays, people enjoy access to unprecedented, far-reaching and convenient communications, and to accomplish this, a huge, complex telecommunications network is required. This exhibition area is divided into four blocks, which will guide you through how a telecommunications network works. Starting from the handy telephone, “Customer Premises Equipment (CPE)” is showcased. Next, “Transmission Media” illustrates how your message is sent to the other party through cables on utility poles or by an “exchange device” hidden in a communication equipment room.

If the other party is in a far place, a “multiplexer” is needed to convert limited long distance and international transmission media into single circuits that can be used by many at the same time, so that simultaneous communications are made possible.
