佛光山站 Foguang shan Station
佛光山由星雲法師於1967年在高雄大樹創建，隨著台 29線、福爾摩沙高速公路修築，方便更多信徒與旅客前往，成為南臺灣佛教勝地，在全世界設有許多別院或分院。橫跨高屏溪的斜張橋，是國內第一座複合式斜張橋，以單塔非對稱型式設計，佛光山附近丘陵地，每到春夏時節， 便飄散著鳳梨與荔枝的酸甜滋味。
Fo Guang Shan Monastery is located in Dashu District, Kaohsiung, and its construction was initiated by Venerable Master Hsing Yun in 1967. As Provincial Highway 29 and Formosa Freeway were built, more believers and tourists could travel to the monastery more conveniently, and it became the leading Buddhist site in Southern Taiwan, but also with many branches worldwide. The cable-stayed bridge that runs across the Gaoping River is the first bridge of its type in Taiwan, with a single tower, asymmetrical design. The hills around Fo Guang Shan are filled with sweet and sour aromas of pineapples and lychees during spring and summer.
