高雄港站 Kaohsiung Port Station
1905年成立的「打狗港事務所」，開啟高雄港現代化之路，1970年代結合鄰近的加工出口區及重工業發展，逐步發展為國際大港。過去高雄港需要大批人力裝卸貨物，因此吸引臺南、嘉義沿海移民，這些碼頭工人，穿梭在澳熱的船艙與倉庫間，以體力搬動了高雄港貿易巨輪。現在，起重機和貨櫃已取代了苦力勞動的身影。
The "Port Takao Office" that was established in 1905 opened the door to the modernization of Kaohsiung Port. Combined with nearby Export Processing Zone as well as heavy industry development, Kaohsiung eventually became an international port. At one point, it needed a considerable amount of manpower to load and unload goods, so it attracted immigrants from coastal Tainan and Chiayi. Their shuttling between high-temperature cargo holds and storage provided the power that brought trading prosperity to Kaohsiung Port, but they were also eventually replaced by cranes and cargo containers.
