現代化城市除了捷運系統外，也會有公車路網的系統，然而道路交通的事故頻率高且造成尖峰時刻道路擁擠，所以許多大眾運輸發達的城市會透過設置環狀的輕軌來連結捷運系統未到達處，並同時提升運輸效率與交通安全。
Modern cities often have both metro systems and bus networks. However, high accident rates and peak-hour congestion can occur. To address these issues, many cities with developed public transport systems implement circular light rail networks to connect areas not covered by metro systems, enhancing transportation efficiency and safety.
