新竹站 Hsinchu Station
臺灣高速鐵路通車後，肩負臺灣西部地區城際運輸的角色，徹底改變旅客的移動方式，讓北高兩地成為「一日生活圈」，沿線各站建築除符合機能需求外，並呈現當 地人文與環境美學，新竹站的鼓風意象，以客家圍龍屋建築的圓弧造型，加上以晶圓半導體為設計概念，凸顯當地人文特色，獲得 2006 年臺灣建築獎優勝。
Since starting operations, the High Speed Rail links cities in western Taiwan. It revolutionized how passengers travel and made a day trip between Taipei and Kaohsiung possible. The stations on the line are as functional as they are cultural, showing local flavors and environments. The aerodynamic design was inspired by the curvature of Hakka Dragon House (walled-house) and semiconductor wafers, which are Hsinchu specialties. The building won Taiwan Architecture Award in 2006.
